Frequently Asked Questions
What is in the produce boxes?
Fresh produce. Whatever vegetables are in season and have just been harvested from the garden will be in the box. At times, there will also be fresh, in-season fruit and herbs in the box.
For example:
June boxes will likely have a lot of fast-growing salad greens (spinach, lettuce, etc.), as well as radishes and strawberries, because those are the types of crops that can be harvested at that time.
October boxes will have a lot of root crops, like carrots and potatoes (yes, we know potatoes aren't actual roots), because they are harvested towards the end of the season.
To find out what will be in your box each week, check The Garden page for an updated list of in-season produce.

What happens if the garden is destroyed by a severe weather event before I get what I paid for?
If we are unable to fill and deliver a box (for example, in the event of a severe weather event), the value of that box will be refunded, or can be credited to other purchases from our farm.

If I cancel an order, will I get a full refund?
If you have made a one-time order and have already made your payment, you must cancel no less than 7 days from the planned delivery/pick-up date to receive a refund.
If you have a subscription order and want to cancel the entire subscription, we will refund you for all of the boxes you would have received, except for the box that would have been delivered next.
If you have a subscription order and need to cancel a single box (for example, if you are away on vacation one week), please let us know at least one week in advance. We will either refund you for that box or plan to get you an extra box at the end of the season.

Do I get to keep the box?
Only until the next delivery/pick-up date. Wooden boxes that are not returned will cost you $10/box.

What if my subscription does not meet my household's needs?
You can change your subscription at any time, even in the middle of the season! Not getting enough fresh produce? We can deliver more often (up to once/week) or bring you a bigger box. Have vegetables rotting in your refrigerator because you can't eat them all? We can decrease the frequency of delivery or bring you a smaller box. Prices will be adjusted accordingly, with no penalty for the change. Contact us to discuss your options if you feel you need a change.
